I picture a world where everyone understands how their body works and how to invest in it. Moving towards a more enjoyable, pain-free, and fulfilling life
This is why I coach people in their 40’s - 70’s to move better, eat better and sleep better - to become physically and mentally stronger, and to move in a more balanced and co-ordinated way

“In a world where it is easy to say to yourself, ‘I’m getting older and my body is falling apart’, I can guarantee you that there is so much more that you are capable of doing”
Pete Banbury, Founder

Start thinking about future you
…..and about becoming healthier and stronger. Well into your 50’s, 60's, 70's and yes, even your 80's. I imagine you have friends and relatives who might be struggling with their health and you don't want that to become you
And what about you now?
I know how it feels. You wake up in the morning and you are stiff when you get out of bed. The energy doesn't seem quite as plentiful as it used to be. And you are so busy - not enough hours in the day. The sports and hobbies that you used to play are that bit harder - what with niggles and injuries. What to do?
Well, the future is bright
How do I know? Because I'm 52, feeling in the best shape of my life and have 29 years experience coaching people to feel the same. To move better, eat better and sleep better. Is that what you want? If so, let’s talk

How do I help you to achieve a more enjoyable, pain-free and rewarding life?
-
EAT
I give you easy to follow guidelines and principles which respect how your body has evolved. Eating well is much simpler than you might have been lead to believe. It’s about consuming naturally occurring foods and avoiding ultra processed, man made ingredients
-
MOVE
I train you to move in the way your body evolved over hundreds of thousands of years. No gimmick exercises. No guessing. Just the way your body was designed to move, with specific biomechanics derived from walking, running, pushing, pulling, and standing
-
SLEEP
Sleep can be elusive, especially as we age. But actually, when you observe how our body has developed over the milennia to respond to daylight and night time, it isn’t as complex as you might imagine

I use a unique tracking system to measure your progress against four quadrants - strength, mobility, balance and co-ordination
Each quadrant contains skills and capabilities that you will develop as you progress towards your goals

Here are some of the people I have worked with, helped and enjoyed learning from…
Neil Back, Leicester Tigers, England, British Lions
“When I prepared for club and international rugby matches, I needed a backroom team to help me reach the peak of my performance. Pete was part of a skilled team that I could trust, week in week out, to provide Sports Massage that managed the wear and tear I accrued on the pitch.”
Dean Richards, Director of Rugby Leicester Tigers, Harlequins and Newcastle Falcons
Pete worked with me at Leicester Tigers Rugby Club between 1999 and 2003 as a sports therapist and masseur. During that time, he was highly skilled, professional, and a great presence around the squad. He got on well with both players and staff, and his contribution played a large part in what were truly stellar years for Leicester Rugby. Now working in movement, biomechanics and sports massage, I’ve no doubt Pete brings the same dedication and expertise to his current work. I highly recommend him
In my time as Head of Medical Services at Leicester Tigers RFC, I continually searched for innovative external practitioners to bring new ideas to my experienced medical team. I brought Pete in to coach our Physios, Medics and Sports Masseurs in the area of functional biomechanics. His technical skill provided us with new insights on how we could build on our player rehabilitation protocols and speed their return to the pitch
Howard Donald, Take That
“With the tour just round the corner I decided from middle of Jan to upgrade my body’s strength. I searched the area for the right person and thankfully found @thebodymapper
Pete is trained in fitness, sports massage and specialising in movement biomechanics for performance and performers which is well suited to dance. For me this is a no brainer and 6 sessions in I already feel the benefits in my legs, balance and stamina which is what’s needed to give 100% whilst on stage”.
Charlotte Ritchie, You, Ghosts, Fresh Meat
“I met Pete when I was filming for the BBC series, Ghosts. He was doing massage for the cast and crew in between takes. When you’ve been on your feet for ages during filming and you have been focused on your lines, you don’t realise how tense your body gets and so it was a glorious respite to have Pete massage my back. All without fuss or disruption - just nice to pause and wind down! “
Ben Willbond, Horrible Histories, Bridget Jones’s Baby, Ghosts
“I was working on Horrible Histories, and needed to build up my physical strength, stamina and mental focus for the long days of filming. Pete trained me up and created a mantra that allowed me to shut out distractions and focus on my lines for upcoming scenes. “Pause. Still. Focus. Go” still rings in my ears!
